Achtsioglou: Government’s Economic Policy Socially Dangerous

January 11, 2021

ATHENS — SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance deputy responsible for the economy Effie Achtsioglou on Monday characterised the government economic policy "socially dangerous" stating that "2021 finds hundreds of small and medium sized enterprises and their employees at a state of suffocation and danger of survival".

Achtsioglou underlined that that businesses are devastated by the lack of liquidity and the accumulation of debts after a long period of recession and as a result of the unacceptable government's handlings.

Finally, Achtsioglou commented that "the governent's insistence not to take support measures in combination with the forecasts of Pissaridis plan, reaffirm that the pandemic is an opportunity for an overall restructuring of the market at the expense of the SMEs and of the employees".
