Two Pairs of Turkish F-16s Flew Over Greek Island

ATHENS — Two pairs of Turkish F-16s infringed the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) on Monday flew over the islands of Anthropophaghi in the Fourni island complex without submitting flight plans. The first pair of Turkish fighter jets flew over the islands at 25,000 feet at 13:33, while the second pair came a minute later at 5,500 feet.

The Turkish military aircraft were recognised and intercepted by Greek Air Force planes, according to international rules, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff said.
