Anastasiades Heart Surgery Tuesday

President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades is scheduled for heart surgery on Dec. 2 atMount Sinai hospital. He will undergo a corrective operation on his heart`s mitral valve. Final decisions will be made on Monday night and “the whole process will begin at 6 AM Eastern Time,” according to CNA.

President Anastasiades was admitted to hospital at 9 AM on Monday and underwent a series of medical tests.

“The operation will be conducted by heart surgeon David Adams. The President will be admitted to the operating room at 6 AM The operation is expected to begin at 0730 – 0800 and will last for 3 to 6 hours,” CNA reported.
