Services on Most of Athens Suburban Railway’s Network Gradually Restored

ATHENS — Services in the Proastiakos suburban railway network in Athens was on Thursday are gradually restored, according to TRAINOSE.

Only the Doukissis Plakentias – Airport section was earlier operating. The other lines were out of service due to repair works.

The problem was caused by an interruption of the power supply to the lines, in order to repair the damage caused to the network last Tuesday.

A new announcement is expected from the company on when normal services will resume.
