WASHINGTON, DC – The Modern Greek Studies Program and Hellenic Association of Georgetown University host ‘A Conversation with Acclaimed Actress/Author/Director Mimi Denissi on Art and Cultural Diplomacy’ on Monday, December 5, 5:30-7 PM, in the McGhee Library, room 301, at Georgetown University’s Intercultural Center, 37th and O Streets, N.W., in Washington, DC.

Denissi, an icon in Greek theater, is one of the most celebrated actresses in Greece, a producer and director of plays and films, including the recently released and award-winning ‘Smyrna.’ She is also the author of six immensely popular historical dramas, the star of over 25 television series, and a popular talk show host who interviews her guests in four languages.

‘Smyrna’, winner of six Hellenic Academy Awards, is coming to the big screen across the United States in 700 theatres nationwide on Thursday, December 8 as one-night only Fathom Events release.
