NEW YORK – Avra Estiatorio Rockefeller Center officially opened June 8 in New York City – the third Greek eatery from The Avra Group which has sister locations on the Upper East Side and Midtown East.

The new 16,500 square-foot restaurant at Rockefeller Center in the historic Time-Life Building sits across the street from Radio City Music Hall and celebrates a Mediterranean courtyard aesthetic. The three-floor indoor-outdoor restaurant features an alfresco dining area on the historic plaza on 6th Avenue, main dining room, central bar, cellar-level dining room, mezzanine overlooking the main dining room, an open kitchen and a market-style seafood display.

Reminiscent of the Greek islands, the restaurant has a chic white aesthetic with elements of water and greenery throughout.

With a tailored menu curated by Executive Chef Arman Arsan and Co-Executive Chef Jose Diaz, diners will experience iconic Avra-style dishes with a something-for-everyone-appeal with Greek signatures such as: freshly caught seafood (flown in daily), local and sustainable catches, small plates, caviar, meat, sashimi & ceviche, and more. New menu items for this location will be: American Wagyu Cote De Boeuf, a 30 day aged Snake River Farms bone in 32 oz. filet with house-made onion rings and truffle fries; Whole Fish Sashimi, Rockefeller Ceviche, Fennel Soup and more.

Fun fact: This space marks 6th Avenue’s most expansive dining venue with alfresco seats.
