Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
LESBOS, Greece — Another 147 migrants granted refugee status left Mitilini on Wednesday for Hanover and relocation in Germany, as part of an agreement between the two EU countries.
Wednesday's is the fifth transfer of migrants from Mitilini in the framework of relocation plans implemented by the Migration & Asylum Ministry, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and funding from the European Commission. The agreement between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and German Chancellor Angela Merkel foresees the relocation of 1,553 refugees in total.
The next transfer to Germany is scheduled on March 24.
