Two Events on Alternative Forms of Tourism in Greece Held in Sweden

November 10, 2020

ATHENS — The alternative forms of tourism that Greece can offer, such as its hot springs and gastronomy, were presented by the Greek National Tourism Organisation in Scandinavia to the Swedish market in two events held on 6 and 7 November in Malmö and Gothenburg, respectively.

Τhe events were organised in the context of the public relations campaign of the specific GNTO agency abroad. The head of the agency, Pavlos Mourmas, presented the country's potential as an ideal tourism destination throughout the year but also the measures Greece is assuming against the spread of the pandemic. The presentations were attended tour operators and tourism sector entrepreneurs from both cities, representatives of local media as well as the president of the Greek community of Malmö. The events included a live Greek music programme, while both were broadcast via live streaming and the social media.

ATHENS - Under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ pro-business agenda, Greece is accelerating a recovery, outpacing even Germany - on which it had relied for backing international bailouts during an economic crisis.
