Turkish Drone Infringes Athens FIR, Flies Over Kandelioussa

ATHENS – A Turkish drone (UAV) entered the Flight Information Region (FIR) of Athens without submitting flight plans at 08:03 on Sunday.

The drone also violated Greece’s national air space when it flew over the islet of Kandelioussa, west of Nisyros island, at 19,000 feet.

It was recognised and intercepted according to international rules.
