Tsipras: Tough Times for Greece ahead, but Not Impossible to Manage (Video)

ATHENS — SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras said that Monday's annual assembly of the Ηellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), where he spoke, comes "at an unprecedented time for both Greece and the entire world."

The coronavirus pandemic forced citizens to "lock themselves in their homes while the economy froze," he added. Considering what comes next against a potential second outbreak "is a very difficult equation, but not unsolvable," he noted.

The main opposition party leader stressed the need for a "timely assessment of the damage's magnitude," while he warned that "inaction usually brings disastrous results."

ATHENS - Education Minister Niki Kerameus presented the progress of the International Academic Partnership Programme at an event in Washington organised by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Institute of International Education "with the aim of highlighting and further expanding Greek-American cooperation in higher education", according to a statement on Thursday.
