Tsipras Accuses Gov’t of Doing Nothing on Energy Excessive Profit

ATHENS – Μain opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras visited the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) on Friday and had a meeting with the president and the Board of Directors.

Tsipras stressed in a statement that “the Mitsotakis’ government must change so that the burden on consumers resulting from high energy prices stops.”

“Almost 40 days have passed since the sitting of the parliament, where the prime minister admitted excessive profits on the wholesale price and the production of electricity and announced the imposition of high taxes even 90 pct on super profits”, but “nothing has been done for 40 days.”
