THESSALONIKI – The employees of the Urban Transport Organisation of Thessaloniki (OASTH) on Tuesday announced their participation in a 24-hour strike declared by the General Confederation of Employees of Greece (GSEE) on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

On the day of the 24-hour strike, 50 buses operated by a skeleton staff will be in circulation, while the routes of the night line of the Airport (N1) and the special service for the disabled will operate as normal.

The workers, as they said in their statement, are asking for those responsible to assume responsibility for the Tempi tragedy, as well as modern, safe and cheap public transport, the immediate hiring of drivers and mechanics and an immediate purchase of new buses.
