Petsas Announces Measures for Achaia Fire Stricken

ATHENS — Alternate Interior Minister Stelios Petsas, who was at the head of a government delegation in Patras on Tuesday, announced the measures to support those stricken by the Achaia fires. As Petsas said, the government delegation is in the Achaia region at the orders of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to coordinate the actions necessary for the relief of households, businesses or farmers that suffered damage in the fire.

"As far as the Interior Ministry is concerned and in cooperation with the municipalities and the Western Greece Region authority we are proceeding with a record of social protection needs. These include a 600-euro support for basic essentials for living and up to 6,000 euros to restore household effects. Afterwards technical teams will record the damages for with respect to housing assistance matters," Petsas said.
