As the final whistle blew in the semi final of the 2022/23 Eastern New York State Soccer Association Manning Cup on Sunday, December 4th, the score was an exciting 6-2 . The NY Pancyprian Freedoms powered easily past Zum Schneider FC  with a hat trick from NYPF forward Joseph Holland at Belson Stadium at St. John’s University . The NYPF will play the final of the Manning Cup in the Spring against Doxa SC.

“This was a great win! We proved what we are capable of and will carry this momentum forward into our final game of the fall season,” said Panos Onisiforou NYPF Head Coach. “The cup final is next year and we will lift the trophy.”

The NYPF  have lifted the Manning Cup in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 and look to add to the 2022 Werner Fricker Cup State Cup already won this season.

Earlier in the day the NYPF Over 30 walked past Rosedale Social Football Club Over 30 in the semi final of the 2023/23 ENYSSA Marth Cup O-30 played at St Michaels Playground. The NYPF O-30 won 4-0 and held Rosedale scoreless with  goalkeeper Spiro “Peter” Kostaras stopping anything coming his way.  The NYPF O-30 will play Glen Cove O-30 in the final who beat NY Greek Americans O-30 in their semi final match.

All NYPF teams play their final game of the Fall 2022 season on Sunday, December 11th. The NYPF take on  Scots American AC in Kearny High School, the NYPF II go up against  on Aurora FC at Randalls Island and the NYPF O-30 revisit Rosedale  in Brookville Park, Long Island.
