Caretaker Government Ministers for Pre-Election Period Announced

ATHENS – The list of caretaker government ministers set to lead the country into the second round of elections on June 25 was unveiled on Thursday afternoon.

Notable appointments include General Alkiviadis Stefanis, former chief of the Army General Staff, as the Minister of Defense, and Ambassador (ret.) Vassilis Kaskarelis as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. General Charalambos Lalousis, another former chief of Army General Staff, will head the Citizen Protection Ministry, while journalist Ilias Siakantaris will serve as the government spokesperson. The newly appointed cabinet members will be sworn in on Friday.
