Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
Dear Editor,
Mr. Constantine Scaros in his commentary “To Succeed Demetrios, We Need Two Archbishops: Chrysostom and Bezos,” published in the May 18-24 edition of The National Herald, makes a false reference: he calls the Agape Service “the Easter Sunday morning Liturgy.” Agape is not a Liturgy but a short Easter universal prayer recited in many languages. The core of the Liturgy is the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist and the offering of Communion. Agape does neither.
Sincerely,
Constantine A. Papas
