Israeli Embassy Congratulates Greece on Ratification of East Med Agreement

ATHENS – The Embassy of Israel to Greece on Friday sent a message that Israel is looking forward to the implementation of the East Med natural gas pipeline East and further regional cooperation, a day after the ratification of the agreement for the pipeline's construction by the parliament with a broad consensus.

In a post on social media, the Israeli Embassy congratulated the Greek parliament on the ratification of the agreement and stated that "they are very happy with the multiparty support from the parliament's broad majority".

Highlighting the importance of the pipeline, the Israeli Embassy underlined that it is a pipeline of cooperation and for the diversification of energy sources for the region and for Europe, which promotes energy autonomy.
