Greek Shipping Min Urges Ferry Passengers to Wear Masks

ATHENS – Shipping and Island Policy Yiannis Plakiotakis on Tuesday sent a message to all ferry passengers to observe the protection measures and wear face masks in all indoor areas of the vessels they travel on, after new coronavirus cases increased to 11,201 on Monday.

Plakiotakis, who is touring the island of Naxos, wished everyone a good summer but underlined that a good summer was a safe summer and urged everyone to wear face masks when travelling by ferry, at all times while indoors but also outdoors if there was congestion, and to observe the safety rules at sea”.
