Greek Banks Extend €50 Contactless Transactions Until End March 2021

December 21, 2020

ΑΤΗΕΝS — The Hellenic Bank Association on Monday announced the extension of the 50-euro limit for contactless credit and debit card transactions without the use of a PIN number until March 31, 2021.

The measure is designed to reduce instances where card holders need to hand over their card to cashiers or touch a POS terminal in order to make purchases, in a bid to protect public health during the pandemic.
