Ergon Mykonos Continues Support for Luv Michael with Blue Dream Gala Dresses

July 19, 2021

ATHENS – Ergon Mykonos, the Greek sustainable fashion brand, supports Luv Michael in celebration of World Autism Awareness Day. Through a capsule collection of unique and innovative utility items, Ergon Mykonos lays the foundation for its full support and the evolution of Luv Michael in Greece.

Ergon Mykonos believes that fashion, in addition to being revolutionary, can and must be ethical. This belief drove the brand's collaboration with Luv Michael, an organization dedicated to advocating for autism acceptance.

With coordinated action initiatives, 'ergon Mykonos aspires to promote ethical fashion, sustainability, artistic creativity, Greek production and social justice.

Over the years, Ergon Mykonos worked with Luv Michael to donate and advocate for autism acceptance. This year, the brand extends its efforts along with Luv Michael to celebrate all dimensions, similar and different, and staying authentic to Greece.

Rediscovering an alternative course, with love and support for vulnerable social groups while highlighting Greek culture through its social action, ‘ergon Mykonos was transformed from a fashion house into a place of innovation. After a series of online meetings that took place from September to December, an artistic story was created starring the Greek islands, ancient monuments, local artists, symbols and Greek words.

This story came to life with the invaluable help of Diane Chudley, Luv Michael’s art director. Artwork by the organization’s chefs was used to produce an innovative collection of kitchen utensils such as: aprons, cooking hats, runners, plates, gloves, place mats, and coasters. They also produced fashion accessories including: shopping bags, weekender bags, and t-shirts. Proceeds will go exclusively to the Luv Michael organization with a dual purpose: part of the proceeds will be used to support the organization and a fund will be created for autistic people in Greece.

The entire collection became available from the beginning of June in the ‘ergon Mykonos online store.

Continuing its support for the cause, ‘ergon Mykonos will create five dresses with the fabric that they created with their cooperation of the team from Luv Michael that will be donated to the Blue Dream Summer Gala which takes place on Saturday, August 28 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons. The event honorees are the nonprofit organizations Luv Michael, committed to creating and providing meaningful culinary jobs to the Autistic population, and The LOHM (Ladies of Hope Ministries) with the mission is to create alternatives to incarceration, decarceration, and post incarceration opportunities by providing access to resources for education, entrepreneurship, and sustainability through advocacy. The Parish will donate 70% of this year’s proceeds to Luv Michael and The LOHM. More information is available online: https://www.bluedreamhamptons.org/.
