Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS — Athens presented the gold medal of the city to visiting Cyprus Republic President Nicos Anastasiades for his efforts in trying to reunite Cyprus for the benefit of all its people.
Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis presented the medal at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Deputy Premier Panagiotis Pikrammenos, former Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos and other prominent individuals.
Bakoyannis stressed the struggles of the island republic's people to resolve the Cyprus issue, and the support of Greece in the face of Turkish illegal actions.
