Council of State Rejects Koufodinas’ Petition Over Jail Transfer

ATHENS — The Council of State (CoS) plenary on Friday rejected a petition by convicted terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas related to his transfer to the Domokos jail.

The 17 November terrorist was transferred from the farm jail in Volos to the Domokos jail. He has repeatedly petitioned authorities to be transferred to the Korydallos jail in the Piraeus area instead.

In its decision, the country's highest administrative court said the petition was unacceptable, as CoS did not have the jurisdiction to annul a Citizen Protection Ministry decision, adding that the case should be reviewed by criminal courts.
