St. Thomas Sunday School Agiasmos in Cherry Hill, NJ

September 26, 2022

CHERRY HILL, NJ – The Sunday School at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill began a new school year on September 25. Sunday School Director and GOYA Advisor Rania Pappas shared the following with The National Herald:

“St. Thomas Sunday School kicked off the ecclesiastical new year with a beautiful Agiasmos service. Our children prayed with us during the Divine Liturgy and received the blessing of our Lord, our Panagia, and our Patron Saint, St. Thomas, for a productive school year. It is always wonderful to see many of our children brighten our church and our classrooms again. Our community is blessed to have dedicated Sunday School Catechists, faithful parents, and exceptional students who are eager to learn about Christ, and of course, an exceptional priest, Fr. Avgoustinos Psomas, who so much loves our youth!”

On the same day the new GOYA Board was officially sworn for the ecclesiastical year 2022-2023.
