PM Congratulates Iranian Refugee Who Aced University Entry Exams

ATHENS – Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, from Madrid where he was attending the NATO summit, on Wednesday telephoned refugee Iranian high-school student Kuro Durmohammadi to congratulate him on his excellent results in the nationwide university entrance examinations.

The high-school student had arrived with his family in a plastic dinghy that reached the shores of the island of Lesvos three years ago.

Mitsotakis said that he was an example and a source of optimism, inviting him to visit the Maximos Mansion next week.
