Tsipras Meets with Central Macedonia Governor Tzitzikostas

September 16, 2020

THESSALONIKI — Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras referred to the difficulties created for the economy and society by the dual health and economic crisis at a meeting on Wednesday with the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, in Thessaloniki.

Regarding Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia, in particular, he stressed the major losses arising from the cancellation of the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair, underlining that this must be mitigated as far as possible.

On his part, Tzitzikostas briefed Tsipras on the region's programme, which foresees the support of enterprises with 150 million euros, which Tsipras welcomed, saying that it moves in the right direction.
