Greece Extends Free Mobile Data for Vaccinated Teenagers by Another 2 Months

September 21, 2021

ATHENS — A bonus of 50 GB worth of free data for mobiles, provided for free to teenagers 15-17 who got vaccinated, was extended on Tuesday to five months, instead of the original three.

A legal amendment to this effect was tabled in Parliament by Deputy Digital Minister Giorgos Georgantas as a rider to a Finance Ministry bill on the Legal Council of the State's restructure.

The government's bonus related to those who received either the first of two vaccine doses or the single-dose vaccine for Covid-19.

Georgantas said that a similar incentive of a purchase card worth 150 euros for young people 18-24 was successful, as 323,000 of the total 434,000 who received it have already used it at least once.
