UK Out of EU Means Greek Students There Need Visas

LONDON — With Brexit done – the United Kingdom leaving the European Union but with negotiations still ongoing – Greek students at universities there now will need visas to continue their studies.

Those will be needed for the next academic year, said Kathimerini, while the tuition fees will be set by those schools depending on whether students are from the UK or EU countries, the bloc having been left by the British.

But the paper said that fees in UK schools for international students still may not be much more than for domestic students there and that there will ne more scholarships for European students instead of student loans.

Starting this summer, international students who graduate will have the opportunity to stay, to search and find work, for two years, and PhD holders for three years. There are more than 10,000 Greeks at British universities.
