U.S. Supports Cyprus Talks

Victoria Nuland, the United State’s Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs visited Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus on December 16 at his hotel room in New York.

CNA reported that “she wished him a speedy recovery as he recuperates from heart surgery, a State Department official has said. She also expressed continued U.S. support for the Cyprus settlement process, conducted under the auspices of the UN, to reunify the island as a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation, the official added.”

President Anastasiades should be back in Cyprus by December 22.
