The Trial of Six Men Over the Death of LGBTQ Activist Kostopoulos Postponed

ATHENS — The trial of six men over the death of LGBTQ activist Zak Kostopoulos has been postponed.

Two store owners and four policemen were charged with grievous bodily harm after Kostopoulos, 33, died of injuries sustained during a severe beating outside a jewelry store on Gladstonos Str, Omonia, on September 21, 2018.

A camera recorded the jewelry store owner and a realtor beating up the young man, who had entered the first man's store for unknown reasons.


ATHENS - Work to clear the snow off the streets in all the neighborhoods of Athens has been completed and the crews of the municipality have already started clearing the squares, according to an announcement by the Municipality of Athens on Friday.
