ATHENS — Greece registered 10 new confirmed coronavirus cases and one fatality since Thursday, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) reported on Friday.
The total number of cases is 3,237, of whom 55 pct are men. Of the total, 707 are people who were infected abroad and 1,813 were infected by already known cases. The average age of all confirmed cases is 48 years (range age: 0-102).
Ten Greeks are intubated in hospitals, and three of them are women; their average age is 73 years and an 80 pct suffer from underlying health issues and/or are aged 70 or over.
Some 117 patients so far have been discharged from ICUs.
The deaths total is 189 and the median age of all the deceased was 76 years (range age: 35-102), 59 were women, and a 95.8 pct were suffering from underlying health issues and/or were aged 70 or over.
Some 274,711 diagnostic tests for Covid-19 have been carried out in Greece since January 1, of which 5,265 (1.9 pct) were positive. The total numbers include repeat tests for individuals.
