Talks Collapse Warning

Nicos Anastasiades, the President  of Cyprus, “has warned of a possible recognition of the illegal regime if the Cyprus talks ended  because of the Greek Cypriot side,” according to CNA.

“I`m not ready to create illusions and see my country divided or the occupation and the unacceptable status quo continue. What worries me is that if the negotiations are terminated due to our fault, the next step will be the recognition of the illegal regime in Cyprus` northern part,” Anastasiades told the audience at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs on September 23.
