Suspension of Pilgrimage Visits to Mt. Athos Extended to May 10

MT. ATHOS — The suspension of pilgrimage visits to Mt. Athos has been extended to May 10, 2021 by a decision of the alternate governor of Mt Athos.

Additionally, precautionary checks at Mt Athos entrance ports are mandatory for anyone who wishes to enter the monastic community, the Greek foreign ministry said in an announcement on Thursday.
