Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris on the Passing of Petros Galatoulas

ASTORIA – New York State Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris issued the following statement on learning of the passing of Petros Galatoulas, the longtime President of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York:

“Petros Galatoulas will always be remembered for his dedication to New York’s Greek-American community. We all appreciated the late hours he worked on the annual parade and other community events throughout the year. His commitment to the Hellenic community was unmatched. My thoughts at this difficult time are with his wife, Sofia, their three children – George, Despina, and Anna – and their grandchildren.”
