Select French Films in Athens Summer Cinemas on June 10-16

ΑΤΗΕΝS — A selection of 28 films from the recent online 21st French Cinema Festival of Greece will be screened at four open-air cinemas in Athens on June 10-16.

Among these, one will be able to see "Summer of 85" by Francois Ozon and "Un fils" by Mehdi M. Barsaoui, which were awarded by both the public and critics at April's French film festival.

Other choice reels included in this limited-time set of screenings are curated by the embassies of Belgium and Switzerland, while three film directors will speak about their work in as many screenings: Valerie Donzellin ("Notre Dame"), Marc Fitoussi ("Les Apparences") and Gregory Magne (Les Parfumes).

Another two selections from the Paris-based "Champs-Elysées Film Festival" will also be screened, while two French films for younger audiences are also included in the program.

Finally, the 21st French Cinema Festival of Greece also presents 7 films selected by 7 Greek directors from the upcoming September exclusive mini-festival "Greece-France: Cinema Crossroads." The September festival will celebrate the bicentennial of Greece's 1821 Revolution and is organized by the French Embassy, the French Institute in Athens and the Greek Film Archive.
