Russian FM Arrives in Nicosia

Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister  arrived Cyprus on December 1. On Thursday he will be received by President Nicos Anastasiades.

There will be talks with Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos.

“Lavrov arrived on a private jet at Larnaca airport, at 20.55 local time (18.55 GMT) and was welcomed by the Chief of Protocol Marios Kountourides and the Russian Ambassador to Cyprus Stanislav Osadchiy. The Minister and his delegation departed for Nicosia. Security measures in and around the airport were tight,” CNA reported.
