Nurses at Greek Public Hospitals to Hold a 4-Hour Work Stoppage on Thursday

ATHENS – Nursing staff of state hospitals will hold a work stoppage on Thursday from 11:00 to 15:00, their union POEDIN said on Wednesday, to protest what it called 'divisionary policies'.

It said that the ministry of Health has created two separate branches in staff, nurses and assistant nurses, which "will interrupt the operation of hospitals and create acute problems in the relationship between the two sectors."

Nursing staff at public hospitals in the prefecture of Attica will hold a rally at 12:00 on Thursday at the ministry (Aristotelous St, near Vathis Sq) and at the prefecture's administrative health branches.
