NEW YORK – The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation teamed up with the New York Mets on July 10 for their Summer Food Drive benefiting the River Fund NY, donating over 1000 food items.
Loukoumi Foundation President Nick Katsoris said: “We started the day at The Floating Hospital, where we sponsor the Chef Maria Loi/Loukoumi Foundation Teaching Kitchen. After loading the Floating Hospital van with food to donate, we then embarked on a charity drive to Citi Field. Special thanks to our Grand Marshall and sponsor of the drive, Michael Naclerio and Lincoln of Queens, and our amazing NYPD escort.
“We would also like to thank everyone for their support and to the Amazin’ Mets Foundation for a wonderful on field pre-game ceremony, during which we debuted our new video on the scoreboard featuring the kids of the Loukoumi Foundation and all they do,” Katsoris said. “Together we can make a difference!”
