Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
I commend The National Herald’s publisher Antonis Diamataris and writer Theodore Kalmoukos in the spirit of truthful news reporting on the events that are paralyzing the existence of God’s Church in America.
Tell me, where shall the parishioners go for spiritual redemption now?
How ironic that those with the fiduciary responsibility to be the caretakers of our spiritual and temporal assets – the Archdiocesan council, employees, priests, and yes, the archbishop – are the very ones who are conducting the investigation of this huge financial malfeasance.
If indeed, the Archdiocese will be “transparent and responsible,” as it has recently pledged to be, then let’s be honest about what happened and who is responsible. This chaos did not happen by itself, this happened on their watch, under their control and supervision.
I sadly recognize that printing the truth can adversely affect the profitability of our beloved Herald. Please know that I will continue to support it, our Hellenic institution!
Kala Christougenna (Merry Christmas).
