Letter to the Editor: Congratulations to Madeline Singas

To the Editor:

I have worked for many years in the United States and I am really happy and proud of the successes of my compatriots. With ethics, knowledge, and hard work, one after the other, the Greeks everywhere in the world advance in all fields.

I take this opportunity, through your newspaper, to send congratulations to Madeline Singas for her appointment to the New York State Court of Appeals. I felt very proud because in an America where there is meritocracy – the most capable and worthy prevail. It concerns us Greek-Americans because Singas also has immigrant parents who worked hard to educate their children. But also, many other Greek-Americans who progress in what they do also make us proud.

If only our Greece wanted to cooperate with all these Greek-Americans who are at high levels of society wherever they live and excel.
