Greek Women’s University Club Call for Music Scholarship Applications

EVANSTON, IL – To recognize excellence and encourage the musical achievements of young men and women of Hellenic heritage, the Greek Women’s University Club (GWUC) is sponsoring its 30th National Music Competition on Saturday, April 1, at the Alice S. Millar Chapel at Northwestern University Evanston Campus.

Eligible applicants must be of Hellenic descent from ages 20 to 29, and must have postmarked their audition tape and applications no later than March 1, 2023. Those interested may request an application from Anna Moreno at [email protected]. A panel of judges will select finalists who compete for prizes of $1,000 each on April 1.

“Launched in 1989, this event also gives contestants the opportunity to meet other musicians of Hellenic descent from around the world,” Moreno said.

Past recipients have included youth from the U.S., Greece, the UK, and Russia, among other countries.
