Greek Police on Alert Ahead of Court Ruling for Golden Dawn on Wednesday

ATHENS — Police are on alert ahead of the announcement of the court's verdict regarding the ultra-right party Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) on Wednesday. According to police sources, over 2,000 police officers will be deployed as part of the security measures, while a helicopter and a drone will fly over Athens and police officers will be stationed near the court, on the roofs of buildings, to monitor what is happening in the surrounding areas.

Menwhile, a large part of Alexandras Avenue will be cordoned off while parking will be prohibited in the wider area of the Athens Appeals Court.
