ATHENS — The platform for booking appointments for a vaccination against Covid-19 opened for the 15-17 age group on Thursday, after the National Vaccination Committee approved the vaccination of these ages against the novel coronavirus, using the Pfizer vaccine.
The appointment can be booked through the emvolio.gov.gr platform using the Taxisnet username and password, by any parent or guardian in the same family unit as the child. Alternatively, appointments can be booked by the parent or guardian via Citizen Service Centres or pharmacies, presenting valid identification documents for both themselves and the minor.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when they arrive for their vaccination appointment.
The campaign to promote vaccination is now focused on younger age groups and citizens over 50 that have not yet been vaccinated. During the past week, the rate for full vaccination of people over 60 surpassed the 70-percent mark, with 71.5 pct fully completing vaccination and 75.5 pct having had at least one dose.
The vaccination rate for the 25-29 age group was 37 pct, while for the 18-24 age group it was 24 pct.
Overall, 9.5 million vaccine doses have been given since the start of the vaccination campaign in Greece, with 5.5 million people having had at least one dose of the vaccine and 4.5 million fully vaccinated.
