Greece: Good Weather and High Temperatures Expected Up to Easter Day

ATHENS — Mostly fair weather, with cloudy intervals and sunny spells, is forecast throughout the country up until Eastery Sunday, according to the National Observatory of Athens weather service meteo.gr. Winds will not exceed 4-5 Beaufort at sea while dust concentrations in the atmosphere are forecast to be high.

Temperatures will be very high for the time of year, reaching up to 16C above the seasonal average, due to hot air masses over the Eastern Mediterranean. Temperatures at ground level will depend on cloud cover and other factors and may exceed 35C on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday in some areas, reaching 30C in large parts of central and southern Greece.
