Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS — Five branches and ATMs of Greek banks were attacked with crowbars and damaged early in the morning on Sunday, police said.
Between 02:30 and 02:50, the perpetrators damaged branches of the National Bank on 152 Filolaou Str (Pangrati), Eurobank at 151 Michalakopoulou and on the corner of Chryssostomou Smyrnis & Agias Sofias (Vyronas), and the Bank of Piraeus at 10 Mouskou Str (Zografou).
At 04:10, the Eurobank branch on the corner of Dimokratis & Constantinoupoleos (Keratsini) was also damaged.
Police is investigating.
