ATHENS – A huge celebration on the mountain, in the midst of the summer. An authentic village life experience. A meeting between the people of Vamvakou, visitors, and all those who love to return to the village again and again.
This year’s Vamvakou Experience Festival (VEF) was organized by the Vamvakou Revival team as part of the Vamvakou Revival Initiative.
More than 20 different programs, and more than 1,500 visitors visited the village on Mount Parnon between the 1st and 3rd of July. Nature, culture, sports, history, innovation, gastronomy, creation; all types of different stimuli, in which we were all there to absorb them.
The CEO of the nonprofit organization Field of Life, coach Panagiotis Giannakis, the team of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), Gadjo Dilo, Katerina Vrana, Oros Ensemble, Istorima, the Women’s Association of Vamvakou “Vamvakia” and many, many more collaborated in a program that was full of new experiences, against the backdrop of mount Parnon. Of course, the Vamvakou Mountain Run was again one of the highlights of this celebration.
