Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
during a meeting on Tuesday of the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee,EU officials demanded that Turkey respect Cyprus` sovereign rights in its territorial waters. The meeting took place at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Before the meeting Greek MEP Manolis Kefalogiannis, Chairman of the Committee, met with the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
CNA reported that “Kefalogiannis said the deliberations of the Committee are very important for peace and stability in the broader region of the South Eastern Mediterranean, while accession negotiations give incentives to the Turkish government to promote the required reforms.”
