Cyprus Negotiators Meet Tuesday

Andreas Mavroyiannis of the Republic of Cyprus and Turkish Cypriot Kudret Ozersay, the lead negotiators in the United Nations talks to reunify Cyprus, will hold the first session after their summer recess on Tuesday, August 26.

Sources have told the Cyprus News Agency that “there is no specific agenda” for this meeting that was scheduled before the holidays, apart from the preparation of a meeting of the two leaders, President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu, which is scheduled for September 2.

“This is the first meeting after the summer vacations and it will most likely deal with procedural issues,” the sources told the CNA.
