Cyprus Dismisses Map Report

NICOSIA – Reports in the Turkish press that the Republic of Cyprus submitted a map during negotiations on the Cyprus issue were dismissed by Greek Cypriots on November 3.

CNA reported that it was informed by “reliable sources” that article i the Turkish daily `Milliet` “is mainly Turkish propaganda, adding that the Greek Cypriot side has not submitted any map at the negotiating table.”

“Government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides suggested it was an attempt by Turkey to mislead,” according to Cyprus Mail, quoting Chirstodoulides that, “The president has submitted nothing to the negotiations beyond the criteria that a settlement of the territorial issue must be based on.”
