Cypriot Young Professionals Support Children

ASTORIA – The children who are helped by Cyprus Children’s Fund are the ultimate beneficiaries of the 2nd Annual Cyprus Sweethearts Event that was recently held at Central Next Door (Astoria, NY).

The event was supported by the Cypriot Young Professionals (CYP) of the Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce and was MC’d by CYP president, Laura Neroulias.

With over 120 people in attendance notables included the new Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus, Vasilios Phillipou, Cyprus-U.S, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Despina Axiotakis, Andry Ioannou, Executive Director of the Cyprus Children’s

The National Chairman and President of the Cyprus Children’s Fund, Savas Tsivicos, spoke and presented a short video in regards to the organization and it’s positive effect it has had to date and for the future.

This event’s simple message was to bring awareness in assisting the mission of the Cyprus Children’s Fund.

The event raised over $6000 and the Sweethearts committee was pleased to continue the tradition of community service by hosting this event. They expressed thanks and apprecation to those who were in attendance and who contributed graciously to children in need on Cyprus.
