Biden and Anastasiades Talk on Phone

Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, spoke for a half hour telephone  with the US Vice President Joe Biden.

In statements to CNA, “the Deputy Government Spokesman Victoras Papadopoulos said that Biden briefed President Anastasiades on his contacts in Turkey and the discussions he held with the Turkish government on the Cyprus issue…
Papadopoulos also said that the US Vice President assured President of the Republic that his country and he personally are ready to provide to Cyprus any assistance needed with regards to efforts to solve the Cyprus problem.”
